Although we have barely dipped our toes into the Summer season, a lot of great Fall merchandise is hitting the shelves in various stores – including West Elm. One of my favorite parts about working at West Elm is when we get to revamp our store with new arrivals! I have collected a few of my favorites of the new collection above – what do you think? Hop on over to West Elm’s website view the rest of the new merchandise —> here!
Archives for June 2012
My goal for the next two days: wake up early, go on a short run, eat a healthy breakfast and spend both days accomplishing my to-do list. Oh, and catch up with Chelsea of The Dainty Woods. 🙂
What’s on the agenda for you all before July 4th?
I had the pleasure of attending the annual Dwell on Design trade show in Los Angeles this past weekend with my handsome Landscape Architect. Place us in a room with many impressive designers, innovative design technology and new products to drool over and we become entirely way too giddy!
I wish I had the time to blog about every single booth I fell madly in love with, however, I have put a highlight on three exhibits. One of the two above is called Half13, a modern outdoor furniture shop by the insanely talented designer, Damian Velasquez. These pieces are fabricated from stainless steel with an added powder coat. Created and designed in the U.S. – I would have to say these are a perfect pop of color.
The second is a Johnathan Adler + Kohler collaboration of colorful, bright sinks. I mean really, I would take one of these sinks in a heartbeat if I had a beautiful all-white kitchen to myself. Instead, I will have to “ooo and ahhh” for a while or convince a future client to design her kitchen around one of these beauties.
Other Designers/Vendors I adored: (click names for viewing)
– Bottlehood – San Diego local
– Jon of Lightopia
– Zoe of Fleet
– Jim Burnett of the Office of James Burnett (Cody’s boss – spoke about their incredible project, Sunnylands Estate).
– Megan of the Charley Harper Studio
Did you attend Dwell on Design this year? If so, what was your favorite part?
I cannot tell you how excited I was when I stumbled upon this darling online shop. This is the perfect site for gift-giving and little treasures to treat yourself! Seriously people, if you have not visited their website, it’s a must-see! —> click here.
Thank you Leif for all of your inspiration!
One of the many ridiculously incredible projects created by the designers of the Office of James Burnett (where my man works). Are you impressed? I constantly am by the talent in that office. I will be attending Dwell on Design this weekend where Jim Burnett, the founder and owner of The Office of James Burnett, will be speaking about the project above.
