Archives for March 2017
I’m heading to Phoenix, AZ at the end of this month to celebrate one of my dearest San Diego friends and her upcoming wedding! I haven’t seen my friend in over 2 & 1/2 years so I absolutely cannot wait for this trip. I am also eager to experience some warm temps after a few weeks of very cold days here in Boston. That being said, my fair skin (other than my face) hasn’t seen the sun in like 5 months so I plan on seeing my friend Lauren at Pure Glow Organic Sunless Tanning for a spray tan before the trip! I have collaborated with
Anyway, I have partnered with Follain again to bring you another post to share what I will be bringing with me on this trip! You can read the first post in our collaboration series here.I am excited because I picked up a few of my go-to skincare products in a travel-size from Follain a couple weeks ago. This is going to be a game-changer as I’ve tried bringing my full-size products since I can’t live without them and it typically ends up in disaster (leaking, taking up too much space, etc.). So now I can fit everything into a small bag and won’t need to worry. I use the Farmaesthetics Herbal Cleanser like it’s going out of style, it’s my favorite cleanser in addition to another new favorite, Indie Lee’s Rosehip cleanser. I also use the Farmaesthetics Sweet Milk & Lavender and add it to the herbal cleanser to exfoliate. My skin needs exfoliating every other day mostly because of my lovely, large pores. I also love the Rahua Voluminous Shampoo & Conditioner and how cute are the bottles?! It’s so good. Then I bring my Josh Rosebrook Nutrient Day Cream because…bonus: there’s SPF! And lastly, I never leave without my Organic Bath Stress Less Body Butter. Typically I put an oil or serum on every morning/evening, but I don’t think I’m going to bring them on this trip since it’s going to be quick and with the warmer temps, I think I can get away with it.
Alright, on to makeup…
Other items I’m bringing: RMS Buriti Bronzer – This is on my wish list but I plan on purchasing before I leave for my trip. I don’t want to overdo it with powders so I’m going to try to bring mostly cream products to give a dewy and more natural look. I think I will also use this as an eyeshadow as well just to make it easy. Then I am bringing my FAVORITE brow tool, Glossier’s Boy Brow in Brown and the RMS magic Luminizer, my go-to highlighter tool…it’s the best. For our pool day, I’m going to need a little Raw Elements Tinted Facial Sunscreen, Rose Hibiscus face mist from Herbivore, and Follain’s Mint Rose Lip balm. For our night out, I’m packing Jane Iredale’s mascara and Ilia’s Lipstick in Bang Bang and Perfect Day.
Since you made it to the end, we have a fun surprise for you! Follain is extending 10% off their purchase through March 31 using the code FOLLAINFRIENDS
Hope you have fun filling your travel bag!
This post was created in collaboration with Follain, all thoughts & opinions are, as always, my own. Thank you for supporting brands that we are passionate about!
One of my favorite parts about Spring is being able to leave the house without the added 10-15 minutes of putting on extra layers and boots. Another favorite is opening my Spring/Summer clothes bins and feeling like I have a whole new wardrobe. Even though I love my cozy sweaters, I am more than ready for a little warm weather. How about you?!
I’m excited about today’s post because I would like to extend an invite to all of you lovely readers to the new Madewell opening in Boston! As you may know, there’s one located on Newbury St. but now you don’t have to go far if you are shopping at the Shops at Prudential. Let’s be real, I would prefer a Madewell at every mile of Boston, like the amount of Sonics in Oklahoma or Dunkin Donuts here in Massachusetts. HA! To share my excitement about the opening, I put together two looks and can’t wait to rock the black jumpsuit you see below at the opening party! Alright so mark your calenders:
- Madewell Opening at The Shops at Prudential (800 Boylston) on Tues., March 28th // Opening party from 6pm-9pm
- 10% of the event’s proceeds benefit the Institute of Contemporary Art
- Guests will receive the signature Madewell Bien Fait tote with any purchase
- Drinks and catering by Coppersmith restaurant
- DJ tunes
- Sweet treats by Parlor Ice Cream Co

Hope you will come shop with me!
All photos were taken by my lovely & super talented friend, Laura Saur of LCS Studio! Thank you for braving the 19-degree weather (it definitely felt like 2 degrees) with me, definitely made for many laughs! 🙂
I’m SO excited to bring back 5 Friday Favorites! It was always fun to gather a few of my favorite recent finds and share them with you guys. I used to theme them like this one or this one, but now I am going to do them at random. This one just happens to be color-themed – not intentional but must be a sign I am drawn to these neutrals right now. 🙂

Although we are in for a blizzard here in New England today, I am excited to refresh our home for Spring. I can’t wait to put away the buffalo check blankets, flannel sheets, and warm throws for some light fabrics and fresh patterns. I recently received a set of the Brushstroke Sheets from Judy Ross’ Collection at Garnet Hill and I cannot wait to put them in our guest room, so much so, that I wanted to share a few more of the pieces from the collection. Judy Ross is an artist and textile designer based in New York, with work seen around the world. In the collection with Garnet Hill, there are two different bedding collections, shower curtains, bath mats, towels, poufs, pillows, area rugs, storage pieces, etc. – all created from a modern drawing or painting by Judy Ross.
