I am excited to introduce you all to Conni of Art in the Find and let you take a peek at her favorite space in her gorgeous downtown San Diego condo! Now, if you don’t already know Conni, you may remember I did a “Wear This / Live There” post inspired by her fashion talents here. Our friendship began over coffee in San Diego about a year ago. After a change of direction in her career as a teacher to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion + prop stylist, she established Art in the Find, a styling studio and blog. I love following all of her endeavors from Boston and am so excited to let you take a tour of her lovely living room! Enjoy.
“My favorite space is, by far, the living room in our home. Our space is a long, narrow condo, so everything kind of combines into one long, narrow room. When decorating, I kept this in mind and created separation of the space, with the placement of the rugs and furniture, all while trying to keep it warm, cozy, and inviting. Of the many things that our living room provides, the view is one of the things I love most. Our place overlooks the bay of San Diego and we are lucky to see some pretty great sunsets. Most of the pieces that have added character to our home and living room have been sourced from family, flea markets, Craigslist, or West Elm (I’m obsessed) which brings an eclectic feel that I love. My favorite piece in the living room space is our tufted couch, which I had reupholstered last year from a couch that my husband’s grandparents had gifted to us. Keeping the bones of the couch and giving it a much-needed update gives the couch sentimental value and I love to spend time on this couch, in this room!” – Conni Jespersen
