It’s safe to say we have moved far too many times for one year…okay it feels like we have moved 10 times but I guess it’s only two. Still – that’s a lot of moving. We have gone from a 2-bedroom apartment in a more commercialized area in San Diego to a 2-bedroom home in a quaint neighborhood (also in San Diego) to a 1-bedroom apartment right in the middle of downtown Boston. As you can imagine, moving from one place to another and trying to get settled, there are things you have to buy that are unique to that space (ie: a shelving unit to act as a pantry, a bookcase for the lack of storage closets, a shower curtain, different sized rugs, etc.). Plus, being an interior designer, I want it all to look put together and welcoming..so there’s that. I am not trying to get too attached to our current apartment and spend a lot of money because I know we will be moving in a year (the destination is tbd). However, I will be working from home a lot more in this apartment and I really need it to be functional and cozy. These are a few things on my wish list…you know, just because it’s fun to make wish lists.

I’ve been putting together a wishlist of items to decorate my home office and that rug might just have to appear 🙂 Thanks for the share!

It’s one attractive rug! That Trina Turk is a true talent + hope it makes it into your home sooner rather than later! xo

Oh I totally understand the dilemma of wanting to make everything perfectly suited for where you are but knowing its not a forever home makes that financially unwise. But whoa, I am totally impressed by Target on that bookcase!

I am glad we can relate because it has been quite problematic 😉 – also, I purchased the bookcase today because we have stacks of books and magazines covering our apartment. You will have to come over for a Holiday shindig and check it out in person!
