I visited this incredibly rad hotel for the Greater San Diego Business Association Event in April (also known as GSDBA). Designed by Michael Soriano in a mid-century modern style, The Pearl Hotel is extremely affordable and definitely worth your stay. It’s a unique experience to say the least. Each room is different and contains it’s very own fish, yes a real fish… and they each have a name. Every Wednesday The Pearl combines a dive-in movie near the pool and bar area, amazing cocktails/food and play various eclectic movies… and did I mention, it’s free?! I was also very impressed by the cocktail selection – I, of course, chose the ‘Marie Antoinette’. The bartenders (mixologists) are awesome – they will create a special drink for you if you ask with a smile. I definitely recommend the Marie Antoinette or the Greenhouse Effect.
